The “Quick-Fix”

It’s not that people can’t do something, it’s that they choose not to.

It’s as easy to do something as it is not to do something.

It’s as easy to grab a cookie as it is to not grab a cookie.

Think about it, how many small, seemingly harmless decisions do you make a day that you say to yourself “eh this won’t matter”

It’s those small decisions that lead up to big results. Life isn’t a “wow” effect. Results don’t happen overnight. The decision for divorce isn’t cause by one thing. Becoming obese isn’t the result of one crappy meal. They are small, compounded actions leading to big results.

Take diet culture for example. People give up in 21days when they aren’t seeing the results they want to see. But that’s what this industry is selling us, a “quick fix”.

WAKE UP! There is no quick-fix. There is no easy way out of the mess you made for yourself. It’s going to take small changes constantly over time for you to get to where you want to go. Just as it took small decisions to lead you to where you are today.

It’s not rocket science, it’s grit.
